About My Background Photos

While deciding on a design, I wanted something simple to start, for that very reason, I needed to start! So, I chose four pix of not only stand-out adventures, but of celebrities still relevant.  Enjoy!

Teen-actor Basketball came to San Francisco in 1980 and I not only went to the games, but knew one of the organizers and did some promoting at my High School which lead to my friends and I getting a private pre-game meet with the Celebrity Players in the locker room!

Tony Danza, one of the nicest Celebrities I met in all my adventures.  I learned alot from this adventure, including what my wait time tolerance was lol!  The meeting was worth the wait, thankfully!

I have had a long and awesome history with Leif spanning over most of my life. Starting with a phone call he made to me in 1977, when I was fourteen and he was MY teen-idol.  This photo was taken the second time I met him.
A once in a lifetime experience.  As my teens progressed, Rick became the center of my focus.  The stars aligned and he filmed his first movie here and guess who was there everyday?   I'm pretty sure if I ran into Rick today, he would still remember me.

Welcome!

This "venture" has been years in the making.  In May 2007, after a few incarnations, I finally decided to write a book about my adventures growing up a teenage girl in the 70s and 80s.

The 1970s and 1980s were a wonderful time to be a fan of actors and music-makers, and I was lucky my hometown of San Francisco was a popular landing spot for many celebrities.  With the constant stream of television and movies being filmed on location, autograph signings, sporting events, and other activities, my fan interest was fulfilled and sometimes beyond anything I could have imagined.  I was very lucky to have had such wonderful and I believe, sometimes isolated, experiences and I wanted to share my adventures, beyond that place in time.

My book is titled, Adventures In Fanland.  It's a personal memoir to the fan fun I had growing up.  I fancy myself a great story teller, and that's what this book is all about.  I tell the story in my own way. The stories are told as if I was talking to you in person.  It may not be grammar perfect, or in other trained writer ways, but I'm not out to win a Pulitzer.  I guarantee it will be a fun read, that will leave you smiling and imagining your own adventures, those you've had and those you dreamed of having.

So, where can you get my book?  Right now, I don't have that answer.  After writing this book, I had several bumps in the road of life that delayed me trying to figure out how I planned to publish.  This year I decided, it was time to figure it out and do something with the project I had created.  I hope to have a plan set this year and be published by next year.  Til then, I hope to use this blog and the Facebook page I created, to share some bits of my adventures, photos, and news about my publishing progress.
